We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETL Developer with expertise in DataStage and AutoSys to join our dynamic team. As a ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL processes while providing production support to ensure the smooth operation of our data integration workflows. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of ETL concepts, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IBM DataStage and AutoSys to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
- Perform production support activities, including monitoring ETL workflows, resolving issues, investigating failures, and ensuring timely resolution of production incidents.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data integration needs, and deliver effective ETL solutions.
- Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the transformed data.
- Implement and maintain ETL workflows, data mappings, and transformations, ensuring adherence to best practices and data quality standards.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data loading speeds.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including ETL specifications, data flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ETL development and data integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer, with a focus on IBM DataStage and AutoSys.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, and data warehousing principles.
- Experience in production support, including troubleshooting, resolving incidents, and maintaining data integration workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and transformation.
- Familiarity with data modeling, data profiling, and data quality concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
